On a serious note I think anon is probably the fairest way to go. When you think about it it’s a shame that we have to worry about cheating here. But it does happen, and I can see were some might vote for the people they like rather than for the art and not even realize that’s what they are doing.

How about this: make the contest itself totally anonymous but then have a new section on the msg board just for vote whoring, then anyone who wants to promote themselves or discuss entries that are still "live" can go there and post, and anyone who wants to be swayed by it can go there to read it too.<br><br>(And yes, that WAS said with tongue firmly in cheek, btw!  )
