hello everyone
i have a little problem... i have a picture with text on it. the background is yellow and the text is white... both the the text and the background are very much noisy... i want to change the text color to dark blue, so people could actually read it, but when i try to select the white areas with the magic wand tool and paint it to blue, it just doesnt look right.

what can i do??

Try adjusting a selective color.
Choose white and set the color changing to 'absolute'.
Play around with the parameters, and eventually, you'll get there.

PS I haven't got PS on this PC right now, so I'm not quite sure about how all those steps are called precisely.

but may i suggest inverting the image colors and then adjusting the selective color of the background instead of the text, that will keep the text more clear and readable.
