The mascot for team P.HO.T.O. was found by a 6 yr old child named Charlie in ..uh.. Utah. Since Charlies, family had no running water, or money for fish food, Charlie placed the small guppy into a jar of pickle juice and named him Mr. Pickle (the name on the jar, look up the company on google.). Charlie took Mr.Pickle everywhere with him. To school, to his tree house, fishing, and even to his special hideout underneath the porch stairs.
One summer Charlie's family saved enough money to drive to the ocean. Charlie had never been to the ocean, and he knew it would be many years until he could go back so he made sure to bring Mr. Pickle.
Charlie and Mr. Pickle had a grand time at the beach, but then one day the sun was setting, and as charlie was drying himself off, his father yelled at him to hurry up so that the family wouldnt miss the fireworks.
Charlie left, and forgot Mr.Pickle in his jar at the beach, and when he realized it and returned back to the spot on the beach, Mr.Pickle was gone, jar and all, he was carried out by the waves.
Charlie was sad, but he never stopped believeing that Mr.Pickle was living a long life in the ocean.
And there is where Mr.Pickle, The Pickled Herring of the Ocean came from.
So he dosent have to be dead.
