Tonight, on PSC Radio ®, we look at p-a-r-o-d-y and it's importance to music throughout the ages.

First, for all you Star Wars fans:

Next, we move right along to a new treatment of a Queen favorite:

and finally, sports fans, we present a new take on classical music:

YPA!!! Which Star Wars replacement did you play there? Something with the covering of the playrights did not allow me to open your first link in these three. But.... If I know what it is, perhaps I can find a way to get around the big YouTube foot in the door..... Confused

Weird Al, as opposed to YerPalAl, is a true musical genius. He is the most successful song satirist of all time and a legend in his own time.

ALL HAIL THE AL!!

Thanks a lot TBC for this nice selection and to be honoust they don't sound girly at all.... Very Happy

Had to do some maintenance to the list. Nothing changes faster then YouTube.
I had to remove the Porcupine Tree video from the list, it seemed not to be available anymore, so I picked one that was, it is now from place 35 on place 120...

But not less beautiful.

And I am not sure about the triplets of Belleville, because I thought I had put them in the list already some time ago. But, I am listening to the whole list again now, and if they fail to turn up I will add them for sure.

Keep having fun with the music, thanks for listening.

I'm glad you posted that great piece of music Very Happy....very subtle but powerful. I had never heard it before. I only started listening to his music with the Still Life (Talking) album ('87 or '88?) and I really like that one, too. I've listened to the "Offramp" album quite a bit now (since your post), and love it!! Pat Metheny seems to have that "instantly recognizable" sound. If you listen closely.. there are alot of things going on in there.

Happy if you enjoy it! Smile
Offramp & Still Life (Talking) are my 2 favorite ones from Metheny.
