Is it just me or that keyboard stand is so annoying. It is one of the only things that is really in focus, it is in the way of everything else and it is not very interesting.

The rest of the elements could've worked out into something interesting.

yeah, IMHO the image is way too cluttered. Open up the aperture to defocus the BG.
And try a different angle.
