I would download 'HijackThis' from splodges earlier link. It is an extremely powerful little tool, so I would be very cautious about letting it fix anything. Just do a scan, save the log file, and post it on a security forum for experts to look at....and in the interim, post it here for an auto analysis

It may well identify the infected file/s clearly enough to go ahead and fix. Remember that virii can find their way into restore points also. So virus removal often involves turning system restore off/purging restore points.

The most effective antivirus method in my opinion is a clean 'ghosted image' of your hard drive. I keep an external hard drive with an 'image' of the original. If I were ever hit by a virus, I run 'Norton ghost' off a floppy disk and restore directly to my last good image.
