I am thinking of painting my bike. I also want to rake the front end out a bit. My bike is all black. I was playing around with orange stripes but maybe you have some cool things you would do if it were your bike. Paint it. Change the tires.
Stretch the front end. What ever. Make it cool. Have fun.
I'm looking for cool ideas. Keep it mean. Twisted Evil Wink

Here I started to move the front end out and blacken some of the chrome
.

is that a "V" star? i only ask because of the way the front finder bevels to a simi sharp body line as it curves over the top... so if it is then i would stay away from the orange as harley uses a lot of orange. also when you rake a front end you loose your turning radius... i would go w/ a set of apehangers and a tail dragger rear end perhaps a mat or satin black would accent the chrome and give it the mean look you are looking for? just an idea from one rider to another...

allthough my bike has been out of commision for almost 2 years and is sadly collecting dust and cobwebs Sad

Yes it is a Vstar. I am trying to thing of cool things to do with it without going broke. I drive it to work almost every day as long as it is not raining or snowing. Sometimes even the rain does not stop me. I put 15,000 miles on it in a year. So far I put Vance and Hines pipes on it, a Procharger, and some highway bars. I was thinking of a mat black, but I like the dragster bars more than I like the ape hangers. It keeps the profile low and mean. Like these.
These are bikes that I like (especially the first one, the second one is raked out a bit too much for my tastes):

But I sure as hell can not afford to buy one. Confused
These are also Star Motorcycles. (or should I say were?) Cool

i knew i was right... well ok i am in the proses of choping it the way i spoke of earlier and should be posting the image to give you an idea... the other two you posted will never be able to get fatty rear tires on your frame also the street bars are a bitch as they limit your turning radius as well due to tank rubing/contact and you will have to lean forward more... sorry to break your spirits Sad i'll post it soon then give it a go and see what modifications you speak of would perhaps look like on the next Wink

this is the idea i had in mind...

only mat or satin black and the turn signals could go or put some smaller ones on.

I also Like the look of low luster black like N.G.S.P suggested but since you seem to want a touch of orange on I came up with this for you. Also snugged in mirrors and back turn signal just a touch

also rey2 i like your idea of the blackened cylinder sleves... a great way to achieve this is once they are removed... degrease then spray w/ a truck bed liner... polish the fins w/ a rollock pad... and while your at it you might as well hone them as well;)
