Granted, it is not totally a copy of Adobe Photoshop, but the interface comes close.
And, when you have never worked with Adobe and can't afford it, this programme helps you get to know it very well. PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF are not a problem - but PSD files can not be opened as a layer file.

But you can work with all the layers we are used to in Adobe, and do lots of tricks with brushes filters etc.

So now, everybody can create nice stuffs for the competitions. Found on a German website and in a Belgian Computer Magazine.

Download here: http://www.artweaver.de/index.php?id=68,151,0,0,1,0 there are online versions and you can download it to your computer as well.

NAIKO!!!!!! I need your professional opinion on this one.

Cool

Me, personally...I kinda like it.

I haven't created anything to upload and share...but just playing around with it...I like it. Kinda feels like Painter...some of the tool options are like Photoshop...it has layers...and you can have layer sets (but they call 'em groups)...

Gonna do more research...

Pretty nice free app.
Thanks anna.

I'm trying to find a way to use it in CMYK mode though...or convert RGB to CMYK. Will it? Or am I missing something.

That may be one of the things it does not have in common with Adobe, rashdog. I think the way it is portrayed to be is more - "for the starters in photoshopping" and using CMYK is more a thing for people who want publications that look professional, is it not?

I have had the best results at home on my HP 840C deskjet printer when I used JPEG images to print, so I never needed to try CMYK (yet).

Ha! Good thinking!

Maybe later versions will support it. But still not a bad app at all.

Easier said then done, when you remember that this FREE version of photoshop technique is used by people who can't efford Adobe, or want to know what photoshopping is for them.... Confused
