If you think about it, the rape/incest question that is raised is really just a red herring/sensationalism. The debate is about life. The question is if an unborn child is deserves the right to life. If it does, then even a child that came about from the most horrific of circumstances should be protected, because it is still a life.

And a well balanced person that kid is going to be when he grows up and finds out that daddy was a criminal that raped he's mommy.

If a foetus deserves the right to life?
My answer: Sometimes no.

If my daughter was raped, I just would be very supportive and helping her to take the right decision, her decision. The decision that she will be comfortable with. I would suggest that the abortion isn't a bad choice... in that case a good choice.

My wife and I clearly decided that in the case of having a Down's Syndrome foetus, our choice was the abortion.

Life is precious, but not to the point to protect every future life whatever the horrific of circumstances.

The right for abortion is part of real democratic society.
