Laughing Fine, if you say so.

The Bush years have been pretty terrible for the constitution.
One good thing Obama will do is end the unconstitutional war in Iraq. Unfortunately, he plans on relocating it to another country.

The fact check says Obama supports repealing right-to-carry laws.

I gotta go to math class, but I'll be back in a little bit to provide more amusement for you all.

Sorry, I wanted to stay polite and respectable. Embarassed
I'm ok about sharing different opinions.
Just sometimes other visions can look so... hmmm... extreme.
Like I said on the other thread, your ex-government was getting used to maintain fear.
This was just a very good example.

The Kwame Nkrumah's quote can fit in Ghana's reality.
The American version can be:
"We prefer self-government with persecution and oppression to servitude in tranquility."

I guess I'm being a little dramatic Laughing , but this is disconcerting.
I hope that I'm wrong about what Obama will do, but it seems like hes gonna move us in a bad direction in many respects.
I mean, you're from Canada, where the Human Rights Commission is fining people for speaking their mind.

I don't know if you support the organization or not, but I don't want that in the U.S.

Wealth Redistribution? Bring it on. Give me some more of my money back, Exxon doesn't need the billion dollar tax breaks. they're doing just fine with their Quarterly profit margins. The middle class has been under the thumb of the current administration for 8 long years... It would be nice to see daylight for a change... Besides, I'd like to buy milk this week.

I assume you are talking about them lowering your taxes? I'm all for that. I think the federal budget is way too large, and should be cut drastically. On the other hand, I don't think people or businesses should be taxed more because they are successful. I don't think the government should be taking successful people's money, and giving it to people who they deem need it. Not to sound alarmist, but that is socialism, and I really don't want that. I'm not rich, and my parents aren't rich. My Dad is one of the hardest working people I know, he has worked hard all his life and not spent outside his means. I don't think it should be his responsibility to bail out Wall Street, or people who bought houses that were too expensive for them , or people who don't want to work.

agreed again. Wall Street should have never been bailed out by the 'working class' NO GOLDEN PARACHUTES for screw-ups. WallStreet is like gambling. You don't get do-overs in gambling do you? And yes people should know better than to buy more house than they can afford. Our Realtor tried to do this to us. We could afford a 170K mortgage, she kept showing us houses in the 250K+ range. We promptly got rid of her after she repeatedly kept showing us houses outside of our comfort zone. And as for not wanting to work, agreed. People at least need to try, though sometimes it aint easy... I know if I lost my Graphic Design job, i'd be at the local Hardware store or whatever 3 jobs I could find, till I got a new Graphic Design Job. But thats just the way I roll. I need to feed the family.

Foot... Don't worry about a thing... cause every little thing... gonna be alright.
At least give the guy a chance. If he sucks, well he'll be gone in 4. Wink

Good Point. I don't like either of the main party candidates, so complaining is all I have to do. Laughing
