i dont get this whole brush thing, arnt they more like rubber stamps or patterns???

exactly why I don't use em much nor do I care for their final 'look' other than for like I said... silhouettes (as a shortcut) but then I'm still doing work to get them to look less like a stamp and more like what I'm after Laughing

I don't think you all understand the power of brushed. Confused
Not this bullshit brush that looks like a bird. That is garbage.
Take a look at this thread from nevet and look at the tongue that I fixed for him. That was done easily with a couple strokes of a brush that I made to make things look wet.

This entire image was created with brushes that I created.
Notice the fuzz of the leaves and the texture of the skin. All done with brushes.

The lips were made to look wet with another brush that I created to make radom patterns to keep it looking natural.

I agree with you, Rey!

It's just a funny thing to try to do using these silly brushes.

no problem there reyrey, artists use bruches for texture, they use rubber stamps for the other stuff

I totally see Rey's point, about them being like a stamp. Laughing I don't think the brushes are made to be used for STROKING Rey.... Shocked .... not that kinda stroking... get your mind out of the squirrel gutter....you wanna have a wrist re-lapse. Twisted Evil Razz

You can spend three hours making a mountain bush...and treeline bush...and blah, blah brush....or just stamp one time, then tweak alittle to suit your needs. Works nice for a Backdrop and things like that.

DP...your the master of the B&W..... Bow ....can't wait to see what you do with the Stamps/brushes. The water kicks ass by the way. Cool

Here EVE, i used them.....well, you did not say use them and make a good picture. Razz

Bob Ross used the brush to make a mess everytime he cleaned them.....Remember the slap, slap, slap on the leg of his easel/ladder. Laughing Laughing

I know of someone who saw one of their brushes used in a commercial poster. They were flattered. Am guessing if they're free or in term of purchase royalty-free, should be ok?
