I have a problem with my fonts. I have done everything I can think of INCLUDING deleting the font the is causing the problem. But it still persists.

Here is what my problem looks like.

It took a while, but I finally figured out what font it was, and hastily removed it. But still, I am faced with this problem.

I'm using Safari on Mac OSX 10.5.5.

Any ideas???

Make sure you have the default font installed on your system. It happends from time to time that it gets uninstalled by mistake.

What font is that? I'm sure it is, as I went through the entire font book fixing all of the broken fonts.

This doesn't look like Safari on Mac OSX 10.5.5.

Yo Tutor!

I just did a fairly comprehensive GOOGLE and couldn't find an answer for you.

I also did a quick scan in my VERY THICK macOS-X book and couldn't find anything dealing with "WTF are the MAC's default System Fonts".

Sorry. I tried. And failed. Sad

Found this;
Quote:
Drag the fonts folder to the desktop, then restart your mac. It will create a new fonts folder with all the original fonts installed. You will have to install all the fonts again but at least you get your normal fonts back.

The folder is located at:

HARDDRIVE/USERS/USERNAME(whatever your mac is named)/LIBRARY/FONTS

Splodge..you rock!! Wherever you are.
I keep checking the obituaries to see if my name is there. If it's not, then I figure I'm ok.
