Ok so I was watching "Mtv2" the other night and a show came on that im not to proud to say that I was watching. I believe that the show was called "The making of a high school musical" but im not completely sure. (I am not referring to the new movie that just came out) This show was a documentary about an actually high school that was putting on the play "The wizard of oz" and they were casting the students rolls within the play and they were specifically looking to case a black "Dorothy".

Ok now that I have given you a reference to what I was watching, here is my question. Throughout the show in the background they were playing instrumental versions of rap/hip-hip songs. I heard the begining section of a song that I have not heard in a really long time... I believe that the song came out in the mid to late '90s but im not sure...

Regardless Im looking to see if anyone can find a playlist of music for that specific show I was watching or maybe find it on youtube or something... My request is to find me a lead to finding the old rap song...

He are the things that I have looked up but have gotten no where:

1) I googled "Mtv" and "the making of a high school music"-found nothing that applies only the new movie that just came out.

2) I just googled 90's top "rap and hip-hop" and could not find the tune although I did find some music I had not heard in awhile.

3) Youtube but all I can find is clips and interviews of the Movie that just came out.

4) Googled "Mtv shows" and couldn't even find the show...

5) Then I just tried to go to The TV Guide(online) to see what the name of the show is and I cant find there archives. The show aired on 12/15 (Mtv2) around 10:00pm - 2:00pm EST

if anyone could help me find any leads on this or any information it would be greatly appreciated. I hate when I cant find the song I am looking for and it is driving me nuts...

Logic thank you, that is the show, I guess I thought that I was watching it on Mtv... lol second request do you know or can anyone help me to find an achive version of the episode of that show? I think if I have the right person watch the show and listen to the song that I can determine the anem of the song...

Believe me when I say that I was just to tired to even change the channel... I do not usually have anything to do with this type of show!!!

If you remember part of the song lyrics, then you can find the song through google as well, just write the part of the lyrics you remember in the google box and add lyrics, that will help you along. Usually you will get a list of songs that have the same words in the lyrics as you wrote, and often youtube listing as well.

Actually I was never to much into the lyrics, Im more of a "Beat" person but thank you, yes I have used google in the past and it works really well.
