Secure Connection Failed

tiifp.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The certificate expired on 2/10/08 11:13 AM.

(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.

Confused

Would like to see you re-create the effect Pakimo cause I have tried several different methods and none have produced this crisp clear circler definition mate.
Sure, I can have a try, not adding serious work into it, but simple test to try it. Haven't tried it before either, so can be intresting. Half an hour and I see what I get. Shocked

Probably terrible, but fun for the test of it. Laughing

I have a pretty good idea of a way to do it in PS. As soon as I get a free minute I'll give it a go and post my results.

Dirk Paessler: "To make a long story short: The “Polar Panorama Effect” is one of my favourite ways to process photos into unique pieces of art. It takes a panoramic (or at least a landscape-ish) photo and uses the Polar Coordinates filter of Photoshop or The Gimp to create a circular image that seems to wrap the panorama around a planet."

Wasn't easy finding good panoramas for this, so took a bit longer than expected. Well, anyways, did a quick test. And didn't bother to add a second circle inside with example trees. Oh, and I know shadows and stuff are terrible, but was just a test Wink

Here's my lame effort:

Looks like it would take a fair amount of tinkering to get the correct aspect ratio to minimize distortion. Building panoramas by splicing mirrored images seems a possible alternative to taking or finding panoramic shots. That's what I did here, but with only one splice.
