I'm interested to know why we can't have the weekend to chop. It really doesn't suit normal working folk, and moreso normal working folk in GMT+10 time zone.

I'm with you Buck, I REALLY don't have time to chop on a Monday and a Tuesday. After working all day who can dedicate time for a quality chop? Sure I can chop a loser! Who can't? (Course I would lose anyway! Laughing )

My impression, in my possibly-faulty memory, is that a lot of people wanted the next round to start immediately after the voting was completed after the previous round, or at most a one day break in-between. The momentum gets kinda lost with a three-day break, and it also makes the tourney itself last longer than many attention spans.

I see it in the "details" that each round will again start on a Monday with two days to chop and two days to vote, but is that set in stone? Maybe that's just how the code is written...

What is the sign-up count now? Are we hoping to get to 256 or is it getting capped at 128? Or something in-between with a "buy" for the first round for the top choppers?

Same thing happens every year...

We have sign ups for about a month. People gripe every day...how many people have signed up. Then we complain sign ups are taking too long. Why not start with 64....no...lets wait till 128 sign up. Then we FINALLY get 128. We have about 6 no shows in the first round. Half of the chops are similar to other chops. There are about 5 killer chops in the first round that are consider best of tournament chops.

The second round weeds out the smucks and we have a few upsets. The third round is usually when things start to heat up. The 4th round is when the stress of chopping for 4 weeks sets in. Choppers start to raise there games.

5th round is when people start to wager bets. 6th round is the final 4. 7th round is a toe-to-toe match and the 8th round...usually means its the 4th of July weekend...and we crown our H2H winner.

The winner usually wins ReyRey's bewbee prize.

Now sign up...STFU...and wait...and wait...and wait...almost there...ALMOST THERE...
....ok...GO!!!! CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP..!!!
