cool chop... I dont get it though

It's not a chop.

It's a vintage photo repositioned at the same site but in current day. I would dig doing this some time. Problems are getting the vintage pics, locating the original site, and any changes that have occurred since then.

I guess I dig the "time travel"-esque nature of the pic. Two different views of the same spot but from different eras.

But can you imagine taking this famous pic of the sailor's kiss from the end of WWII and repositioning it in the current Times Square. Not a re-enactment of the pic but the repositioning of the original print within the view of the lens.

Similar idea but chopped.

Cool, This reminds me of when I was in Europe with my father, he was saying where he was during the war, and so when we got back, he breaks out his old war books and he's showing me the same place, what was cool was that my pictures and the books pictures had the exact same vantage points (great minds think alike)... anyway, the only difference from 50+ years was that my pics were in color, nothing had changed, the same shutter was hanging crooked on a window,
