Here's an idea, Del... PM me for my "normal" email and you can email or send me the link to this TROUBLESOME MPG file... it might be something there instead of your computer. Let one of us with a working Flip4MAC test it for you.

Delia, I pm'd you a link with transcoded copies (.mov .mp4 .avi & a .flv) of the original YouTube version. Its in a 20meg .zip file. Let me know if you are still having problems getting any of these to play on your Mac.

The mp4 worked!

If I import videos directly from my camera, they play fine, I am just having trouble with outside movies (ie, off a disk, or from an email....)

I'll have to look into it further, but at least for now I can enter to win that big money from AFV. LOL!

I use ffmpgX (already mentioned) and handbrake too sometimes. Both converters are free...hope it helps
