YOU GUYS ARE FAMOUS!!! I just received the Don LaFontaine Celebration of Life Tribute DVD. The movie opens with your pictures on the Wall as they are drumming at the Screen actors guild Tribute....WOW way kewl. Good work people. I've only watched 1:11 minutes of it, but couldn't wait to break the news of this... Looks like you guys will want to buy a DVD if you were in the contest. Not sure if everyone made it in the movie as I just started watching it.. it's 2 and a half hours... but wow wow wow!!

RIP DON SEPTEMBER 1st 2008

OK HERE"S THE FINAL PHOTO ALBUM

http://mindesigngraphics.com/lafontaine/index.html

Don LaFontaine will be in Studio! Much like with the Ben & Jerry's Contest I thought you guys may like to go for it again!...

Top Entries will be given to Don LaFontaine and I will get your Artwork signed by him!

Check out this Youtube:

Also, I talked to some folks around the station and they suggested a Hollywood star with perhaps Don Lafontaine morphed creatively coming out the star! I'm sure you guys will all come up with something frameable that he will be proud of.

When I gave the Ben and Jerrys guy your artwork he was very choked up... Thought it would be fun to do a repeat contest with a new Charactor.

Don LaFontaine is sooooooo friggin cool. That man's voice is gold baby! Hollywood movie promos are screwed when Don's gone. Sad

I gotta figure out something. Hopefully I can pull something together that's worthy of his approval.

As a related aside, I have my signed Ben & Jerry's piece hanging in my cubicle. People that have seen it ask about it and I tell them the story and they all; without fail; say something to the order of "That's so cool that you got Jerry's autograph on it!". It's seems like having the autograph of a pseudo/quasi celebrity is cooler than a movie/tv star's autograph. I think it's because it's more unique and kinda quirky. Very Happy

Thanks for doing this kinda stuff Kathy! It's wicked cool!

Hey if ANYONE can find decent hi-res pics of Mr. LaFontaine I think it'd be cool to post the links here for the benefit of all who want in on this.

All I'm finding is really small shots. Sad

Right from IMDB. It's only 365x450 but at least it's a decent close-up:

Hey Kathy is there any chance at all that his agent (or Don himself) would supply some decent sized head shots that we could work from? Maybe they could send over promotional photos that could be scanned in? Please Question

I've tried looking on Google images for "Don LaFontaine", "Don LaFontain", "LaFontaine", etc. with no luck on getting good shots (other than those little pics I've listed above). I've gone through IMDB and various articles/interviews written about him and can't find anything either. Basically I've spent the last two hours (and I'm at work Embarassed) looking for good sources.
