Arrrgh! I broke my camera yesterday...well...actually nothings happens! Just took a photo and now the lens is stuck, it won't go back in! Got a message "Lens error, restart camera" I have a Canon Ixus 75, but it happend before with my Ixus 50...so it's no more Canon Ixus series for me!!
Does anyone have any experience with this error? Searched the internet, but basicly it can not be fixed

How long have you had the camera? Might it still be under warranty? *crosses fingers* Try contacting Canon. Could there be any debris (lint, etc) stuck in the mechanism? Do you have one of those compressed air cans for blowing off computer keyboards? Try removing and reinserting the battery? Try *very gently* adding a tiny bit of pressure to push the lens back in? Also look for any firmware updates that might have come out for your camera?
Basically, I have no idea... these are just things I'd fiddle with if I had it in my hands. Good luck!!

Ha, thanks for the tips! I think I've tried all of them I have the camera for 1 year now, but I can't find the receit! So if nothing works I will try to open the camera myself Or maybe call Canon, but they probarly ask more money to fix it than the camera is worth!!

When did you get the e-620? Huh huh huh? How do you like it?? I got my Olympus E-510 about the same time you got your E-410 (Did you upgrade that, too?). I love E-510, especially the built-in Image-Stabilization --really comes in with any caffeine jitters!
I also have two pocketable digicams (Pentax Optio S4i and Panasonic DMC-TZ1), so I always have a camera with me.
