Drove from Montreal Canada in that year to see the take off. Got about 50 miles from the cape as the traffic was unbelievable .

Andre Cassagnes, the French inventor of the Etch A Sketch, a toy beloved of children around the world, has died at the age of 86. His death in France in mid-January was announced by the Ohio Art Company which has been making the Etch a Sketch since 1960, according to media reports. Sold more than 100 million copies.

Star Wars make-up artist Stuart Freeborn dies aged 98



Stuart Freeborn, the British make-up artist renowned for his contributions to 2001: A Space Odyssey and the Star Wars films, has died at the age of 98.

Largely self-taught, his six-decade career saw him create make-up and prosthetics for such cinematic legends as Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers.

One of his most famous creations was Yoda, the diminutive Jedi master first seen in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back.

Rick Huxley,bassist for "The Dave Clark Five" ... R.I.P .Passed away on monday Feb.11 of emphyzema.Dave Clark and the guitarist Lenny Davidson are the only two surviving members. Denis Payton, who played saxophone, harmonica and guitar, died in 2006. Mike Smith, the lead singer and keyboardist, died in 2008.
