Some people might have noticed that my image http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/161324/striped-strat-upd.html was at the bottom of the list for most of the voting.
While I like getting votes the overwhelming need to tweak and improve always is more important to me than votes. You might notice that most of my contests are like that. I can't leave it alone. Sometimes I think it costs me a win but I don't really care.
When I first started here I just wanted votes but now I really think votes should be an afterthought although I do wish there was a way to get people to look at the bottom of the list and view all the entries and keep coming back until the voting is over. Any ideas?

Last year I made this:

But nobody seems to care Confused
No ideas to change it though. Perhaps a obligatory slide-show before you can vote Wink

change the default arrangement into most recent first. so viewer will see the latest picture which mostly updated picture or non advantage's work.

Good idea!
After the first time that I've voted on a contest, on the second or third day, I always sort by 'recent' so that I'll pick up the latecomers. Can't do that on an anonymous contest, tho.

I think its a good idea too. I always wait until the last day to try and catch the late entries, but having the default listing newest uploads first might eliminate late posters being overlooked so much.

Isn't it more of an attitude change that's needed for those that dont look at all entries? I dont have a problem with the way it is currently...I look at all the entries and I'm sure many more people do the same. I just dont think you can fix "general laziness" with a site modification. I could be wrong, but.....

I look at the entries when the competition opens, then I get back at the competition and use the choice to look at all the images in one page button, that way I can get the idea how many entries there are and start voting for the ones I have not seen yet.

I have brought up the idea that the contest should open directly with all the thumbnails of the entries in one page, problem solved.
