Yesterday's winner should have been pulled on day one, yet it stayed up and went on to win 50 dollars !!!

The artist conveniently left of the crucial detail that his entry was 95% external (an external that is the overwhelmingly major factor in the images impact) until I made my comment over 24 hours after the start of the contest, so I'm estimating that at least 10 people may have been duped.

That being said, if everyone that voted would still have voted if they'd been fully aware of the external, then I 'spose there'd no harm done...

I you all end up hating me for speaking up then so be it.

cheers !

Q. Did you flag it for removal Andy, and therefore inferring that the Mods are asleep on the job? Wink

Now they'll have to try and 'claw' that prize back from our errant winner! Laughing

There are loads of winning images on here that uses this amount of source vs externals. Just take a look on the recent tomatoimage that just won, or the burned hand, or the car. And thats in the recent 10.

So it is not unusual that this happends. Smile

I think you react the way you do because the external image was more powerfull than usual.

Very Happy

Is it against PSC rules to have a certain percentage as an outside source? I haven't been here for a couple years, so I'm not sure what the new rules of the site are.

I didn't vote for that image for the same reason that Granulated specified; however, I don't think it disqualifies it as an entry. Just my opinion though.

Not against the rules, but a little deceptive I think with the original description and the source was added after he was asked to supply it.
but
Not the first image that's a straight cut and paste to win, dont think the mods would of had a good reason to remove it. Just my two cents.

I think the voters are to blame. Do your homework. Ask questions.
Be a smart educated voter. Make the world a better place. Very Happy Laughing Cool................yeah yeah.......I know..........I'm an asshole.....Sue me.
I think we should send the money to the guy who made the source. Cool

Read back to yourself your comment. It makes absolutely NO sense at all. Perhaps you meant to say something else ?!

I reacted the way I did because the entry WAS the external image. PERIOD !

I don't know what's worse, A completely sniped $50 dollar winner or A $50 winner with only 25 votes.
