Good thing that I'm replying first, since this issue is addressed to me.
I apologize to those i might misled 100% involuntary . I'm new and i didn't notice that everyone lists all their externals , even if they are high ranked in a contest, so i didn't' think it was a mandatory rule. If it's my fault, will be corrected next time.

Thanks for critics, we learn as time goes...

have a nice day

Perhaps we could wait until the contest is over before we make judgment. I wouldn't had assumed that each battleship was drawn or taken from different photos. I see no issue here, except the fact that this is being discussed during open-voting.

This is, again, a normal chop.
And I can not see the reason to tramp on someones win like this.
Well done bogonet, and keep chopping Smile

If you would like people to show externals make a post that talks about it in general, without trashing someones entry.

My opinion.
(This is not making me popular, but feel it have to be said)

It isn't a mandatory rule. Some people do list sources to show how much work they have done though. At least I like to (now). I also now list sources when I think people may be misled into thinking I've done more than I have. I've been slapped on the wrist for such an offense. While I was quite innocent in my mistake, I now understand how people could be misled into thinking otherwise... http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/99848/anticipation.html have fun reading that Laughing

That being said... There are much bigger fish to fry than yours or my picture.

I didn't think that you painted the boats or had taken 20 different pictures to make this scene..
Nor had you stated that as fact in your authors notes.

Maybe it was just me, but I didn't find any fault with what you did. You used an external photograph, so what. I do that all the time. You didn't take someone else's art or hard work and just paste in some of our source into a great already made scene and call it yours. You blended/integrated (quite well I might add) two photographs together and made a new one.

Bravo bogonet for making a believable picture, and congrats on a well deserved win.

Gran - can you get down off your high-horse, please? It is annoying (probably to more people than me) that you get all high-and-mighty about this issue. It seems to bother you much more than the majority of members here. This is the second time (in a short time span) that you've complained (and started a whole thread) about this kinda stuff. There ARE NO RULES REGARDING THIS... SO WHY POOP ON THE WINNER'S PARTY CAKE? ...go take a pill. Rolling Eyes

(and I'm not PMing you this, I'm making my comment public, just as you have chosen to do with your Entry Quality Complaints)

AMEN BRUTHA!

(I'll let the masses figure out who that references. It could be like a fun little game for you. A fun little game nobody wants to play.)

Well said, Gran. As usual... well said. Cool

And it is a nice touch that you removed your original post here. That too speaks volumes. Good to see you can stand behind your own words.
