Perhaps the problem with using different images in a chop is not the fact that they are used, but that it is not mentioned that they are used.

Perhaps we should take pride in reveiling how we came to create our entries, put all the sources used on one page, either written links or images, and have a second upload for this page underneath the contest entry. That way we don't need to link to a photobucket or other source and links will stay connected with our contest entries for as long as they stay up here in PSC.

So, a slight alteration would be needed to the upload contest entry page - one extra upload line, that would present this page link underneath the contest entry (where we now have our comment line)

Bad idea?

No need to change things anna a lot of people do that now and just link the images to an image site of there choice, some times the externals are easy to spot and there is no need to add extra information, it once again comes down to what you are comfortable with and in the end the choice is yours to post externals and to vote for heavily external works. Thats why PSC is so unique with in the PS world, you still have choices in what you post and what you vote for.

My 2cents Wink

I post 'em if I think I need to. Would hate to see it ending up like those sites where you have to post a workflow though..

Anna,
I use flickr for most of my externals. I also use flickr to show externals used....well like BigBuck said when I fill they are needed or if someone requests them.
The thing about flickr is it shows you how many times your picture has been viewed.
The most any of my external pics were viewed during a contest is 5.

So to me it all goes back to the Weird no rhyme or reason voting pattern.

I do feel that if you are called out that you need to produce externals and or PSD for the chop in question.

So the upset about the blue background in one of this weeks winners is a storm in a glass of water......

Maybe this forum page should be closed then.
