I'm deeply sorry for your son and yourself Brian. I know the pain of having a loved one hurt. I know you would bear the pain for him if you could. My prayers and thoughts go with you on your journey. Good luck and have faith. I hope everything will be ok. Your friend.

Oh this kind of thing gets my back up, I have three kids and if anyone even attempted to hurt them they would be in for a lifetime of pain and fear. Wiz, I can't imagine what your going through right now but I'm sure your pacing up and down frantic with worry. A few years back my friend was attacked in similar scenario and she made full recovery and I'm sure your son will too. The good in people still exists, its just that the news is full of badness; when do we ever put the news on and hear about the good folk in the world?
My thoughts are with you (even though I dont know you) but we have one thing in common, we're both parents.

Ah Wiz.... I'm sooo sorry to read this. Nobody should have to go through this kind of crap. Your son shouldn't have to have this done to him simply for money. And you shouldn't have been put in this position of worry.
I hope you journey to him goes well and your son recovers quickly!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers guys, I sure needed them all today. Just been told that one of his shoulder blades is so badly damaged that it had to be reconstructed... Seems like my kid is in pieces! 
This has opened my eyes to all of you that have sons, daughters, brothers and sisters serving overseas and in harms way, may they have a guardian angel on their shoulder till they get home safely.
But when they do make sure they lock and load before using the local ATM! (My poor attempt to be humorous, sorry about that! )
