Yep, autosave is well worth looking into, I know, because my computer has crashed on me while I was photoshopping about 55 times now, since this summer when the previous brain of my computer fried.....

Never got it to work ok again after that...... Crying or Very sad

If it makes you feel any better, I spent 9 hours from last night through 3 AM working on a simple DVD compilation for a buddy that should have taken me 20 minutes to do. Yes, I finally got it done, but I'm exhausted and am going to lose out on half my weekend catching up on sleep. Technology can suck sometimes.

I tell this to EVERYONE I teach - I wack them in the head if I don't see their (usually) left hand up near the edge of their keyboard ready to hit

CONTROL + S (COMMAND + S for those of us who are COOL Razz)

Here is one of my ReinManRules: Every time you put down a new idea or layer or bit of pixel, hit CONTROL + S. It becomes a HABIT, a GOOD habit. Wink If you have your left hand NEAR your keyboard it is a simple Pinky + Index Finger movement that takes about 200 milliseconds to do.

I'm not being sarcastic or fasicious here, I'm sorry you lost your work, dude. But learn from this - don't rely on more AUTO SAVE technology that will eventually fail on you too. You got a pinky and you got an index finger so

CONTROL + S (COMMAND + S with your thumb and nasty middle finger, for those of us who remain, in our own special way, COOL Razz)

:reinman:
