I like to use the filter "rendering sun" (or is it light, I have a Dutch version, don't know how it is in English)...

But, if you add a star or sunlight to a picture, you always have to "guess" where it will come in the picture, because you don't see your picture when you add it... Anyone have an idea ? Is it possible anyway to see the picture ? Am I doing something wrong here ?

Thanks for the advice,

Anja

The filter dialog does contain a mini preview of your image. There you can move the little cross around to determine where the effect must appear.

Ik hoop dat het duidelijk is Smile

- make a new layer, fill with black
- filter - render - lens flare
- make a feathered selection around the 'sun' and mask
- set layer mode to 'Screen'
- move around

Can't you just make a lens flare without the blackout layer?
