Cartoon Contractor

I have recently installed CS4 and I have a problem with masking. When I mask out a dark image over a light background some ghosting remains from the masked image.
Does anyone have this problem and if so is there a solution. I've been forced to use the eraser in these circumstances which is not a desirable alternative in my opinion. I've also tried changing the nib on the stylus hoping this would help but it doesn't.
I don't see any settings other than the opacity setting and I have it at 100%. I'm at a loss as of what to do. Help please! Confused

Its a shot in the dark, but check your default black to see if its at 100%

Thanks Krank! I THOUGHT I had checked that! Doh! It was off by a smidge! Just enough to leave a shadow Evil or Very Mad
