Jasper, not to knock your logic, but quality work doesn't seem to matter to the great unwashed, even when they should know better. I made a profession presentation to the board of directors of the citys Art Council for design and production of a web site for them and they decided to go with a high school kid. And the inevitable happened. He left for college and their (horribly designed) site became a museum.

Correct. So - the moral of the story is: those who know what's good for them will pay for it and prosper, and those who don't...well, we've all seen it, and you couldn't pay me enough to clean up after them.

...hmmm...I think I'll start a new thread for design horror stories

Now every time we see a "clean up" chop, we can all talk about how much they suck and how they obviously didn't put any effort into it at all.

Because everyone will be able to afford this.

Legally.

in a way... sucks. Why did I bother spending all that money going to college to learn clone stamp and blending techniques now that Cartoon Contractor's dog can take my job

ExACTLY! For those of us who bill out by the hour, we will make less money because of this.

Picasso was sitting at a table outside a Paris cafe. A woman came up to him and asked him to draw something for her on a napkin. He complied, doodling as only he could. After he quickly finished he requested the French equivalent of $5,000. Agast the woman said — “but it only took you 2 minutes!” Smiling, the great man replied — “no Madam, it took me my whole life.”

Finally good to see Photoshop catching up with GIMP. GIMP came up with this 13 years ago. Way back in 2027, and used during Chelsea Clinton's Presidential Campaign posters of Central Park. Several Bums, trash, dog and horse waste had to be removed to create a more environmentally friendly scene.

Some folks were offered "beta testing" versions. I declined because I knew I'd like it. Huh..

But it (cs5) is coming - no avoiding it. Eventually it shall have my heart and soul too.

But not in this fiscal quarter. Wink

Yeah, I know about beta testing. Isn't there a certain group they offer it to though? Shame I wasn't in that group. Well I'm with you, probably not in this fiscal quarter or the next... or the next... maybe next fiscal year haha Laughing

2 days 10 hours
till CS5 Launch

Take a look at the new features photoshop CS5 is going to have

- Some sort of HDR filter
- Some sort of " Paint Mode to interpret a photograph into a painting " feature.
- On screen color picker " no need to click on the icon " probably with a keyboard shortcut.
- Smart wrap " pretty much liquefy but without the distortion.

Here we have what it looks like the Cs5 icons

that look like ass
