Think about this in terms of people who "read things differently" Some are black and white rule followers, others are shades of grey interpreters of rules.

If we bend the rules (shades of grey) the black and white people cause drama.

If we "enforce" the rules (black and white) the grey people cause drama.

There's always drama either way...I'm older than you and I'm a woman. I'm right.
Well put. You're right. Drama no matter what.

Respectfully Tofu, as I myself started similar threads about the H2H years ago before becoming a mod...

I posted this tonight in Mod forum as we mull over all that we read here:

If we make rules and stick to them, threads will be started about, "Well that rule doesn't make sense and the rules need to be changed to THIS, the rules are UNFAIR"

If we make rules and change them, threads will be started about, "Bending rules like pretzels...the mods are horrible".

No matter what we do, we piss off 50% of our active members.

Smile That's the reality of just about ANY online community Smile

I say someone go start a thread about how much the prizes suck! I'll be back tomorrow!

I think the h2h is awesome! It's like the superbowl or ncaa basketball tourney. I enjoy every minute of it.
I think the no show dilemma could be averted if we just simply set a deadline and stick to it. If you late, too bad. If you no-show you are banned next year.
We should have stand by choppers who chop and replace the no-shows as needed. I'm sure we have enough people lurking that would have chopped to fill these needs.

Anyway, great job mods on putting together a great tourney!

I agree Nat! And Nancers, I was just poking fun and having a good time! Not trying to stir s*#t. Wink
I too think the mods do the best they can with what they have to deal with and are doing a phenomenal job for free to boot! thumright
You know you can't stop no-shows no mater what you do! If someone don't show ya can't shoot em in the dick! Laughing Laughing Or anywhere else for that matter! So guys and gals, lets just chop and vote and let the chips fall where they may and screw the rest! Good luck to all the contestants and now its time to STFUAC! Wink

I must apologize for not posting. I fell quite ill earlier in the week and have only just today got back to my computer. I went to post and have clearly missed out. Good luck to those left.

*edit*
Judging from your avatar, you appear to be a shade of grey kind of guy, but your background makes it clear you are a black and white person.
