One of the biggest stories last month was that an upcoming episode of the popular TV series House was filmed entirely with the Canon 5D Mark II. Fox has uploaded a short clip of the episode to YouTube. It’s not HD, but it’s a pretty neat glimpse into what they were able to do:

Gotta admit it. I got the 5D mkii last year, and it is the Cat's Smokin' ASS! If you shoot pro, it is one of the best investments you can make.

They've recently updated the firmware so that you can shoot 24 frames a second as well as the original 30 fps.

This video I shot last xmas with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4TG6CYlFmk

And the fact you can shoot at (in these examples) 4000 iso and higher, that makes it a bit CRAZY to use.

Okay - I suspect this thread was
MORE about HOUSE than about
the 5D mk2... Razz
So I'll let you get back to the TOPIC now...

Man...that video looks great (even compressed)....and the music fits it quite nicely. What band is that in the stills?

A friend of mine bought the T2i and even that's a great camera ...especially for the price.

Thank you! I just used iMovie (the free program that comes with yer average MAC machine) to do that. I then used LOGIC to compose the music, after the video was edited, and there you go! Very Happy

One note: running a FULL HD rez movie takes a LOT of processing and memory power... patience is required when uploading your video clips, and when rendering final video. Also, photographically speaking, each still image RAW file from the 5d mk2 is around 25~30 meg, so you may want to upgrade your hard drive as well!
