Now, being that this is ReinRULE... it can not really be enforced and it may not be agreed upon by anyone but ME. But here it goes.

NO COMMENTING/CRITIQUING ON PEOPLE WINS FOR AT LEAST 3 DAYS AFTER A CONTEST WINS.

It has been happening more and more, but more than a few folks around here, that comments like "great win - but by the way you screwed up and I'm not saying it SUCKS but just wanted you to know that I know you screwed up" are popping up a lot around here.

NOT COOL. NOT COOL. Anti-COOL. Dig?

Yes, voting around here SUCKS and if you don't agree that SUCKS to. But after YEARS around here that is NOT my opinion. It is my OBSERVATION.

BUT BUT BUT a winner is a winner here, under the faulty system we have. Trust me, we've tried to improve it over the years, but right now it is as good as it gets. DEAL WITH IT THE WAY IT IS.

IF you are frustrated by a WIN, then HOLD YOUR FRICKIN YAP FOR AT LEAST THREE DAYS and then LET IT RIP if you still feel ripped off.

BUT LET THE WINNER HAVE THEIR SLICE OF Air-Pie FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE.

(and some people will think of a particular two or three that do this around here... it isn't just THEM, we all do it. This is a call out to myself as well.) For pity sakes folks, show some GOOD SPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR. Yes, EVEN YOU YOUNG MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT-SO-GOOD SOCIAL SKILLS YET! Razz

SO MY SUGGESTED RULE, again:
NO COMMENTING/CRITIQUING ON PEOPLE WINS FOR AT LEAST 3 DAYS AFTER A CONTEST WINS.

(and lets not be STOOPID about this new ReinRULE. It is OK to say words like CONGRATS and YOU ROCK MY FRICKIN WORLD, REINMAN! But no "But's and Yet's and I don't know whys" You know what a "positive comment" is, right? It makes the receiver feel POSITIVE. Another way to say this is THUMBS UP okay - THUMBS DOWN (for three day) NOT OKAY.)

And, PLEASE, keep your comments on topic on this thread. I'm serious about this idea, and I'm not in a friendly mood at the moment. (goes and picks up Spanking Paddle)

Please Please don't hurt me...

I agree about the carpe dium thats been going around lately.
If this will fix it. I'm all for it.

Personally, all that other stuff should be done behind closed doors (via PM) anyway.
Unless both parties want it aired publicly.
Like to show how to fix something, that both agree need fixing.

I swear that extra red print wasn't there when I first submitted my reply! Either that or I'm color blind!
fixed my first reply because of it... but
THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT!
Why am I screaming? I'm not deaf, I'm just blind!

I agree! A winner is a winner. Not everybody is perfect. This site is for having fun and learning. Bashing a winning entry is not fun Mad

Can we at least write Congratulations then??????

I always thought that we only had one vote per person per entry, so a win means most people voted for that entry....

but I could be mistaken......

Have not been around for that long.....
