Immediately the question comes to mind of how much retouching the client wants on the example image:

- Just smoothing out the woman's skin?
- What about color correction?
- Adjusting the shape/angle of the nose?
- Adjusting exposure?
- Add some "pop" to bring out her eyes?

Is this someone's own portrait that will be printed for framing in their own home? Or is this for print media? Or a headshot for a model/actress portfolio? I think knowing these things would help determine what is done to the photo.

For example you wouldn't want to correct too much on the skin for a personal portrait or it could seem like it wasn't the same person.

Or would you just want to see what we would do on our own judgement?

Just thoughts. I'ma try my hand at it. Cool

About 20 minutes...

Eeesh, her hand looks a little too red now. I was trying to match her skin tone. Also, without a tablet, it's nearly impossible to get rid of her chin hairs. As someone once said, using a mouse for fine work is like drawing with a potato.

*edit* I am NOT a Pro Photo Retoucher. I thought it was fun to give it a try.

If the crowd feels this is too big let me know and I'll size it down. Smile
Like Eve I saw the mismatch in the hand coloration and make a quick attempt at fixing it.
Still some a little more touch up to do here and there but I'm at work. Maybe try more when I get home.

I kept a couple of moles for character. I don't know a person's preference, for magazines, they'd remove them. What do most people want done with them? I think if you get rid of all of them, it becomes too obvious that the person looks different, at least the people who are familiar with the person in the photograph. I kinda like what Tad did with the one on the nose.
