This is photoshopped all day long, in my opinion.

My friend insists that it is genuine.

What do you think?

I think the lighting on the eagle is not correct, and the eagle casts no shadow on the ground like the gravestone.

The eagle is too large for that size of graze stone, in my opinion.

Photoshopped, I think.
Reason: bad lightning.

After watching it over and over again, I started to doubt.
First thought the lightning was wrong, but I'm not sure about it anymore.

Can't tell Smile

From the follow-up article
http://www.startribune.com/local/127347018.html

Not surprisingly, there were few readers who insisted that the photo was a fake. The bird was too big, they said. There's an aura of light on one side that reflects the use of Photoshop, said others.

"It's not Photoshopped," said Glick. "I did crop it [as did the newspaper]. If I had Photoshopped it, I wouldn't have the eagle's tail covering the name."

He also may have put the eagle on a different headstone to make the composition perfect, he said. "It's a good picture, but it could have been a much greater picture."

Glick took the photo with an older Nikon camera and a multi-purpose lens. He took more than 60 shots of the bird at the cemetery, from different angles and locations. Some are sharp, some are blurry. Some are not very well composed.

"But I just like the feel of this one."

Star Tribune photographers studied the original that Glick sent me and said there's nothing conclusive to say whether it is faked. They also looked at a photo of the bird from the front and said it seemed legitimate, and consistent with the other photo.

As for the size of the bird?

The tombstones rise about 22 inches from the ground. Eagles can grow to 37 inches tall. So the proportion seems right.

I asked a cemetery employee if they ever see eagles.

"All the time," she said. Her boss concurred.

We live in fake society - too much imitation and bad textures.
But often in real life i find myself looking at real thing (like the moon for example) and say: "man that is totally fake! outer glow is too strong, or shadows in the clouds should be more transparent..."
Too much PS and BS in my life i guess Confused

How many cemeteries do you go to that have the same font on all the tombstones? I also never see them with what seems to be astro turf.
Also the bottoms of the tombstones are blurred into the grass?

Totally photoshopped, and I know this because it looks like something that I'd end up finished with because I can't get things sharp and clean enough.
