I thought Arc only protested here. Shocked

He doesn't actually protest here. He just speaks his mind. And that's a good thing.

Some brilliant footage being replayed on the Brazilian stream at the mo. Youtube will be full of this tomorrow.

I'm watching it with the sound off and this playing in another tab. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n80kDDgCfQc
What's strange is it works brilliantly.

Edit: That's not my normal listening. I only got into that song because of the brilliantly creative video ages ago. Honest govna!

The lyrics of that song are:
"If I had another chance tonight I'd try to tell you that the things we had were right"

That doesn't work at all. lol
Or does it? I don't know. I do know that I have to put some riot video footage to pleasant music.(and get shit off Youtube for copyright infringement lol)
I'll start with that song though.

Edit: I'm beginning to think them lyrics do work. If you take into consideration "The things we had were right" was before the government changes that started the protests.
YES! I should be a fucking lawyer!(not really)

Been there... everything went fine... Picture 10000+ people protesting... making silence when we passed in front of a hospital... opening way to the ambulance that needed to pass... singing the national anthem... this is just the beginning... we're gonna change this fucking country... and I'll be proud to tell my grandchildren I was there when that happened... that's my 2 cents...

Who remembers the "Occupy" protests. If anything, they proved that the USA isn't a Democracy.

Did the US media even cover these protests?

A little piece of info to those interested... The protests of last night were considered the biggest protest wave in Brazil in the last 20 years. Over 250k people went to the streets to protest against all the shit politicians been doing for decades. Enough is enough!

Oh, I should care about this? A corrupt government; an unfair separation of wealth; poverty and strife. What in the hell is new here? That describes every human society to ever exist.

Only the rich can afford to successfully run for office, and they are supported by even more rich people. Is it any surprise that when they get into power they only look out for their own best interests and the interests of their major financial supporters? The only difference between countries is how much money is left over after the powerful have gotten their fill.

The people of Brazil are fed up. It happens. Maybe they'll create change with these protests; maybe they won't. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Human beings are self-centered and greedy and that will never change.

Burn your country to the ground and see what rises from the ashes. You're a fool if you think it will be a Utopian society full of sharing and caring. We are what we are.

If you want real change, don't reproduce. Let some other species have a crack at the top spot.

The history that keeps repeating itself? Civilizations rise, civilizations fall; under the weight of their greed and mismanagement. How many thousands of years worth of history do you need to read to realize that?

What magical fairy land history have you read with a civilization where everyone thrives, there are no class systems, and it lasts forever?

The Proletariat will inevitably rise up against the Bourgeois. Governments change. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Protest away; I support fighting back against those who impede upon your survival. Just don't expect long-term change. They will throw the people enough scraps to shut them up for another ten or twenty years.
