Do anyone of you members here at PSC.com play the manager game UEFA Champions League Fantasy at UEFA.com?

Hey you americans, this is soccer, not american football.
Okay i will ask the proverbial question: If Soccer is soccer and Football is football, why then do Europeans claim Soccer is football? We don't claim football to be Soccer? Sure you guys use your foots more on the ball then hands, where we use hands and the occasional foot. So then why wasn't it called football from the start, where did the name Soccer come from? Probably from the brits they love to try and confuse the world!

Blame the Brits they came up with the name soccer.

Soccer is a slang word for Association Football.

To complicate little more, in my country (at least it is physically in Europe) Soccer was always and only called Football and American Football we call Rugby (which is probably something completely different). Either way - I couldn't care less about any of it. Only good thing is that we don't have Baseball at all

there was no soccer just football, but then Americans invent something that combine pass and run,kicks, hands and fight dressed up like Robots and also named it football and comfuses everyone, thats why we invent the word soccer.
Maybe a proper name would be footmelon because they don't use a ball

Woke early, felt really good, then I read this thread. Now I have a giant headache and today on US TV as part of their thanksgiving celebration they play three football ganes or soccer or rugby not to be confuse with Cathy Rugby or is that Rigby. I'm going to take two shots of whiskey or is that whisky........oh forget it I'm going back to bed and try again tomorrow.
