I think it looks good....

The only thing I would try would be to lower the opacity of the layer over the eyes so you get back a bit of the details there, and darken the superimposed layer more where the face has shadows. I see you did that, but maybe a little more would blend the two layers better...

What is the project for?

try playing around with the burn tool to add some depth around the patterns (especially where there are shadows). It's nice so far Smile

thank guys
i'm taking a computer graphics course and this is the finall project... it's supposed to be an A3 ad for an exhibition about surrialism or something...
my inspiration is the almighty GIGER

my pic is nowhere near this painting but the idea is a biomechanic woman or something like that...

It looks great so far but here is what I would do :
The part I love the most in your pic is underneath her right eye (from our viewpoint) ... cos it looks like the pattern is carved in her skin. So I would try to have the same effect everywhere else (and it's also what Giger did on the whole face) So I'll get rid of all the white areas of the electric components, darken them or try different stuff with the-I-don't-know-how-you-call-them-in-english but it changes the way your layer merges with the one below Smile

Post the final work !! Very Happy

her right eye-lower lid- something needs done there- it's not
in unison w/ the rest of image.
Very nice image though Wink
the image overall is has the same feel as the original
piece. you were very successful there--
do you have the option of personalizing it a little--
maybe a small area with 'moisture' in all that
dryness, or a focal point of color?
the patterns need to flow with the curves of her face.

for some resone its aa bit darker in the jpeg... so you might not see it but the area of the eyes shows more details...

I really like this image. The only think that "upsets" me is that the superimposed circuit diagram looks flat, especially the rectangular resistors just below the eye. Do you know how to use the displace tool? It would work a treat here to bend the image so it fits over the skin like a glove.

More info here:

Good luck. It's quite hard to understand the displace tool at first, but it's well worth learning. PM me if you need more info.
