Who's a member of Worth 1000? I'm a member and I like this site as well as PSC, because they give the artist a problem to solve. You as the so-called artist have to come up with an image. Not really a chop, but chop-like principles. Sometimes they will present an image to be chopped. I think the H2H contests should give more specs/guidelines. like Worth1000. What do you think?

BTW Worth1000 is not free!

Here's an Example of a typical contest:

Quote:
Whomever said beauty was only skin deep was right. Computer circuitry, motor-gears, and shoulder-mounted laser beams are in style this year and all the celebrities want one. In this contest you are to turn celebrities into half-person/half-machine cyborgs, as in the themepost.

The rules of this game are thus: Turn a celebrity into a cyborg. Keep it clean, please. As always, quality is a must. You'll have 48 hours for this contest, so make your submissions count.

Worth 1k is great.
I find their site a pain to navigate, and the forums make
us actually look mature.
Some seriously talented people over there. Wink

Yes the Nav sux..I enter the Traditional Photo Contests more than the Photoshop ones.

Freaky talent over there, I've only won 2 contests.

PSC has some Good stuff as well.

I'm a member . I like the idea- sometimes they give image, sometimes just a task. I like that it's not all the same. But PSC looks frandlier. So I like this website so much more.

Tasks are cool, specs and rules make it more interesting, weeds out the bogus entries...but sometimes I like the bogus entries..ahhh Whoa-is-me Confused

PSC more user friendly. and better design. Rock on!.

Worth 1000 IS free! ...and anyone who chooses to pay has no "advantage" over you.

Agree about the navigation superiority here, and W1k is maybe just too big and popular for comfort. This one's more folksy.

I've never participated at Worth, but I have heard from a few people that if you dont 'pay to play' there, you'll never win a contest, no matter how good your image is.

I am sorry to report that we will not be competing in the multi-site contest due to poor communication between project organizers. For those of you that requested an explanation here is the email exchange between Avi from w1k and myself. I could have probably been a bit more flexible, but I think the psc members and leaders deserved *some* input as to the conditions of the tourney.
