I noted that during the last tournament round competitors were voting for their opponent, sometimes early in the round. While this vote is generous and unselfish, it nevertheless takes the anonymity out of the voting protocol. Perhaps it is too late in this tournament to reconsider the voting protocol as it relates to contest participants, but my suggestion would be for the participants to withhold voting for their competitor until at least near the very end of the contest. I enjoy these contests and appreciate the anonymity attached to the voting protocol. All the best to the elite eight..

But Patre.....

You don't see who voted until the contest has ended. Confused

Thanks Stu and billtvshow.....
It sounds like I made an erroneous assumption re:understanding the voting protocol attached to the tournament contest. To be honest, I thought I had viewed the comments
as I was voting and noted competitors names attached to comments supporting their opponents. However, I am guessing ( based on your explanation) that I read the comments
after the contest was over and made the assumption that the comments were also posted during the course of the contest.
Thanks for your helpful clarification.

I may be wrong, but in the H2H competitions, it is considered proper "etiquette" to vote for your opponent out of respect for their work. HOWEVER, I believe we've had two incidents where a competitor did vote for their opponent and their opponent did not vote for them, and they lost the match by one.

That would suck.

Oh wait, sorry Patre..."That would be a tragic way to be eliminated from the competition"

I see where you were confused though.
