I have recently bought PS CS. I am so pleased with the Toggle File Browser on the Mac's in my classroom... but for the life of me I can't get that TOGGLE FILE BROWSER icon loaded into my Palette Well on the Tool options bar (to the right)on my PC at home. My instructor doesn't know why it didn't load on that way.. and no one seems to know how to get it up there. One of my instructors also runs CS on a pc.. and said he's got it but thought it was just 'there'.

It's a nice shortcut to toggle open my file browser without having to go via Window to access it. Any ideas? Thanks

I know we talked about this in chat, but
I just thought of something.
If I remeber right, (?)when I loaded CS onto my PC
I had to "Choose" the option to
include the file browser.
I aint certain, but if you havent changed a ton
of presets it may be worth re-loading
the whole program and watching closely for the option.

The File Browser preferences can be configured from the main Photoshop Preferences dialog box (edit menu on PC's or Photoshop menu on the Mac).

See if you can fix it that way maybe? Confused

Okay... finally figured it out. I have come out of my 'blond moment' & got my book out and poured over it. BINGO! It clearly says:

NOTE: If your screen resolution is 800 pixels by 600 pixels or less, the palette well does not appear. Instead, you can click the Close button on the File Browser or choose File > Close.

I prefer using the toggle for the file browser! It also solved some problems I was having in other areas. DUH! I had my screen resolution set up for gaming... and now I'm one happy camper!

Reinman: Ay Chihuahua!!!!

Well, now I feel like an idiot! And yet, I'm excited that I'll hopefully do better now!
(I could barely use any filters, because they wouldn' t all fit on my screen!) DUH.

Okay, Marco.... so you DON'T sit 5 feet from your monitor????? Where's the challenge in chopping up close??? No wonder you all do so well!

I suppose this earns me the "Squirrel of the Day" award (definately squirrely - but I'm all better now)

at any moment this thread was about to drop off the Top 10 list, and i just COULDN'T let that happen.

In a world where people create silly and pointless threads everyday (DAMN THEIR EYES!) this thread deserved more time in the limelight.

Do you listen to Johny Cash, Reinman, or do you just like to use old sayings?
