Any one using GIMP ? Now i am trying to use GIMP i have LINUX now and it's pretty fast

I started with Gimp about 1 year and a half ago and had a basic understanding of how to use the tools etc. However, I switched to Photoshop last April and it has worked for me because it has so many features. I think wonderful images can be created using Gimp, if a user is familiar with and adept at understanding and using the tools. I have probably forgotten most of what I knew, but if I remembered something that would be useful to you, I would be more than happy to share the information.
Also, The price is right for Gimp..It is, in my view, a very good program especially considering how much it costs-nothing..
