its just that sometimes if you just duplicate the object and flip it you don't get the reflection the way its supposed to be....like in a cylinder.....
AGH...........
so noone knows what i'm talking about? Confused
i'm almost sure i didn't make this up Hmmm

That just meant I couldn't follow along with the tut-
and also that I would have to now go and put it into my
filter folder after finding it elsewhere then--
maybe i misunderstand but whats wrong with duplicating layers, transforming them and stuff on your own...unless it's more powerful than it looks which
meaans it actually has the power of 3D rendering, which if we're gonna start doing that why use
such a week program in that respect as PS ?
When I see someone make a 3D looking image in PS I want it to be their work--
not a filter's.
Eventually PS is gonna have flash filters and all kindsa junk added to it-
As far as I'm concerned that's stuffs cool but it aint Chopping in the zone that
PSC is about and I hope it never is. Smile

OH! HEY why aren't you using a gradient over your fill pattern before you
put it in the transform? There's yer reflection right there- and if it's reflecting another object then make the fill pattern flat with the object reflected on it and flattened into one layer before you use that as a fill pattern--it'll stretch and wiggle in the filter just fine.

well.... if you duplicate and flip the object you get the reflection wrong... the curves are in the wrong way,,,,

http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/82905/display.html
this is RIGHT... see the curves go the right way..........
i'm sure there is another way do do it and if anyone know any i'd love to know Laughing
