I lost a thread I made a little while ago? Anybody see it wandering around anywhere?
I pondered the possiblity of it actually offending people, and I hope it didn't, they are old drawings that I pulled out of my clipboard, and have no meaning whatsoever...
So if you've got my thread, give it back, cuz it took a while to make...
Shocked

The mods are a bit uptight around here. Next time post milder pictures. >_>

I wouldn't say they're uptight at all. This is probably one of the most unrestricted sites i've been to that is of any quality. IF you want to see uptight, go to Herzeleid.com. the mod there pretty much locks and/or deletes every thread eventually. You go to the forum page and all you see are a bunch of "locked" icons. Its a family site, here, though, and blatant foul language isn't really needed. Damn, now you all will think I'm harping on you; i'm not, I'm just typing a lot. just ignore this... Rolling Eyes

At my home forum, those pictures would have been considered mild, and no one would have even blinked at the language.

I guess I have different standards.

Heh, it'd be pretty easy to mistake all these posts as being from the same person with our similar signatures.

well, DARN, shucks and golly...
I've been on here with Robin and I've seen much more offensive stuff...
Well, that's cool...I guess my stuff isn't for this place, that's all I do! I have a stupid, morbid sense of humour and that's what I like...
It was nice meeting you guys, and thanks for the compliments, but I can't handle being censored, but I'll be posting my stuff on my MySpace page!

...and Robin just told me that there's "blatant" foul language all the time here, like the "f" word, and just general cursing in the forums...
I hope the mod realizes he's a "square" and that I was singled out...no response is need from him, for I won't be here to read it, and this is the same shit that made me fail art class every year. I took "art" literally! But what do I know, I'm just a stupid musician/artist and this will all be forgotten soon enough.
I really thought those were at least PG-13 drawings....Sorry to shake things up, that wasn't my intention, I just wanted to show a couple of stupid doodles I did.
Good luck with the contests! Embarassed

My understanding was that it wasn't the pictures that were offensive to jmh, but instead, the use of the C - word.

JMH has a C-word filter, you know. Razz

Sorry I missed it, I always enjoy a good deletion. And did someone just call me uptight?????

Carry on!

Sorry 'bout the "c" word, It was drawn while observing other people at a bar, and I was hoping a giant monster would come by and do what the illustration sez....I may make an alternate version...here's 2 I threw together really quick that are non offensive to show I can do it..

I dont really get this mentality...
Do you go to the Dentist office and say things like "cunt"?
Do you visit a restaurant and let your morbid sense of humour go wherever it might go?
Do you automatically assume that others have to accept your mentality?

wake up.

Your sentiments seem real but playing some sort of "censorship martyr" is ridiculous. boohoo. Its a fact we all have to live with everyday all around us. There are certain behaviors that are generally accepted in a public forum online or in real life...and others that arent. Even you, with your free spirit, must have encountered this elsewhere.

Its a public site where all kinds of people visit. There has to be a line somewhere. Robin was right about other foul language being around but its not quite so bad as you make it sound. Travel through the forums here and record how many times you see "fuck" or some other word people might find offensive and you'll see its not at all that common.

Anyway, you still have your pictures, which I did think were pretty impressive for doodles, and if myspace is ok with them being posted there, then good luck.

One thing I might suggest is posting links to the images and some disclaimer that they may be offensive to others. This at least shows you're conscious of the fact and want to play nice.

you'll survive. trust me. others have.

*edit*
Cuz I was curious, I just searched the forums for "fuck"...a whopping 45 matches in ALL the threads. Hardly a common occurance. Just thought you might like to know. Of course, this doesnt count chat which can get out of control but if you watch, its only a very small handful of members that say the sort of things you suggest are common place.

Wow, you've really put me in my place. I needed a good slap on the wrist from a mature person like you. Thanks!
Your condesending nature is beautiful, share it with the world. I hope you die of boredom.

...and I'm not a f**king censorship martyr! You know there was nothing wrong with those drawings, they were FUNNY, a**hole. It wasn't that big of a deal.
Thanks for ruining the thread.
If you could go back and read it, it was a friendly, polite thread, saying hi to everybody, and I didn't know I'd get jumped on so badly for a stupid drawing.
