I'm trying to learn how to use the GIMP since it's as close to photoshop as I'm likely to get (legally at least).

Anyway, I'm trying to get text to go in a circle. Anyone know how to do this in GIMP? Or even how to do it in Photoshop and I can see if I can translate the steps to GIMP? It's freaky-easy in Fireworks but I can't figure out how to do it in GIMP.

Hey Tofu, I'm right there with ya. Using the GIMP now as my main image manipulation software...

Anyway..
I haven't tried this out, but here's a link that might help with making text follow a path:
