Thank you Eve, and thanks Queen and reyrey for such long and felt replies, my intention is not to crush anyone's dream, just give a reality check to the persons who want to start in this field. To beat nepostism and incompetence the only thing you can do is study study study until you have to be recognized for what you can do. I'm still studying and struggling to get recognized, meanwhile i'm making a living out of this great job, hoping for the big break to come and give me tranquillity. Smile

Amen, supa...your web site is the whip, by the way. It is a fine line when discussing these things. I'm generally confused by poetry, but I keep this one hanging next to the easel:

"--you know, I've either had a family, a job,
something has always been in the
way
but now
I've sold my house, I've found this
place, a large studio, you should see the
space and
the light.
for the first time in my life I'm going to have
a place and the time to
create."

no baby, if you're going to create
you're going to create whether you work
16 hours a day in a coal mine
or
you're going to create in a small room with 3
children
while you're on
welfare,
you're going to create with part of your mind
and your body blown
away,
you're going to create blind
crippled
demented,
you're going to create with a cat crawling up
your
back while
the whole city trembles in earthquake,
bombardment,
flood and fire.

baby, air and light and time and space
have nothing to do with it
and don't create anything
except maybe a longer life to find
new excuses
for.

-Charles Bukowski

All is well in the world Very Happy

Queen,
As for a reply to your "Yeah, but what if you liked golf more than anything in the world?".That is great too but you better be ready to get your ass beat by tiger woods often. Someday you may be able to beat him or maybe not. If you do not have a tough skin and a backup plan you may end up broke and suicidal. Crying or Very sad
know what I mean Wink I'm just saying, Yes dream big but also be honest with yourself and have other avenues if the other does not work out. Very Happy

lol, good thing you are not offended. incompetence comes with inexperience, thats what i meant, anyway 1st graphic design lesson, a photo cannot be called a logo, because it is a photo.

I agree with Supak0ma,
I think taking Supa to task on his comments was the negative posittion to take, NOT the other way around.
Brutal Honesty is one of the great things about PSC'a attitude,
if you want people who are going to blow wind up your skirt and tell you how great you are no matter what you go publicly posting, I can suggest many other sites
that will make you feel at home. I am also a member of several such sites, and for a lenthgy bit of time too. I'll put it this way- people who are members of any of the MANY MSN groups dealing with graphics never improve.
Also, very self restrained response there Supa, I totally respect it.
No good dead will go unpunished ;-P

Nubie,
I'd seriously consider editing those comments if I were you.
They are a little over the top. Smile

Thanks Scion ......I feel soooo much better ...that wasn't the person I like to be.
I meant it more sarcastically than revengeful but upon revue I concede.
Btw nice web site is that the theme to S.W.A.T.?? I recognise it but I dont know from where.

Supa thanks for the clarification. I guess nobody really benefits from "brutal Honesty"
However it Is a logo and not a picture ...look at it again.
