I read this thing about how some of the most creative thinkers in history were all lefties...and maybe there's some link between creativity and left-handedness. Like how your brain wires are crossed? So if you're a natural leftie, that means your right brain is the more active half...and blah blah blah. Some examples of creative lefties in history: Paul McCartney, Harry Truman, Alexander the Great, Charlemagne, Ceasar, HG Wells, Jimi Hendrix...and so forth.

Then again, Uri Geller, Richard Simmons and Jack the Ripper were also lefties. So there goes that theory.

I read a thing where a lot of historys greatest thinkers had
(fill it any old silly thing here) and conclude that this is the reason that (whatever here)
is the way it is today.
Hmmm, didn't there used to be like these puzzle books where you fill in the lines like that?
You know, A lot of very rich people smoke cigarettes. Maybe we could all be rich if we all smoked cigarettes.hmmmmm

Ha, only the real artists in the world are left-handed. Did you know left-handed people are also called "sinister?" yep, pretty cuel, i'm sinister. I hide in the shadows and wait for someone to pass by, then BAM! I pelt them with stuff. Shield that, suckas!

OK...I'm going to go way out into left field here, and put my intellect on this crystal pedestal for someone like rabid rodent to come along and shatter it, but here goes:

It is my understanding that lefties have always been deemed as "evil" or bad through out history.

Mason: sinister comes from the Latin sinistra which literally means left.

In French, when they want to describe someone as inept, they call them "gauche", again meaning left.

From http://www.dpjs.co.uk/lefthandpath.html#Left : Being Left Handed has, for some reason, become associated with devilry and bad luck. Superstitions that differentiate between left and right always consider the left to be bad, unfortunate, cursed, poisonous and satanic.

bah! My point is that I'm right. I'm always right. Razz (Except when I play hockey or golf, I shoot left, even though I don't play golf Confused )

Ummm....what was the question?

Left field...so you want some facts re: lefties?

In Scotland, the terms kier-handit or ker-handit, used as slang for left-handed. Kier means "carry," and left-handers are referred to as "carry-handed." Go ponder THAT one.

And to continue your evil, strange, weird train of thought/controversy how about doling out "left-handed compliments?"

Hey, I can literally give you one left-handed fact per day but I don't believe the rubbish about darkness associated with being left-handed.

What cynicism?
Hmm, but if your right, then certainly the key to becoming a great chopper
is being Dutch and having a big ego.
I got the Dutch part down, but do I have to move there?
As for ego, I'm gonna work on that, and considering how amazingly capable I am,
that shouldn't present too much of a problem. Very Happy
