Chode,

Putting politcal war/opinions aside, I appreciate what you and the service people from all of the countries (yes even the the 'bad' ones) do for their respective nations. Whether you had a choice or not, thanks.

As for the background image, it is cool. Perhaps adjust the contrast a bit so you are more prominent than the gun. There is a bit of backlighting going on that may need to be worked with. I like the font, maybe more solid colors or patterns though? Just my 2 cents.

Happy New Year.

Not a fan of the faint scanlines. If you added them, you might want to take them out.

Thanks for all the comments they are really helpful
I am working on maybe bluring the gun a little to keep in from standing out but dont want to distort it to much its a pretty clear crisp image . The scan lines just added for effect because i couldnt think of anything else to add. And the Font I got off of

It's cool to know you're back home mate!.
You seem to be making a career out of being in the forces and there's nothing wrong with that. My father was a Royal Marine. It's the clueless fuckwits that sign because there's nothing in there small town to do that I feel for(Pure gun fodder).
Where are you now? Are you in your home state?

I must dispute the whole gun-fodder thing concerning American military--
844 men and woman soldiers died in Iraq in 2005.Prior to this last decade we experienced
a higher number of military deaths annually just from training accidents.
I am not making light of anyone's sacrifice in their service, I am merely pointing
out that everything possible to be done to keep our guys safe in this situation, apparently is being done.

A higher number of military deaths annually just from training accidents is more than the people involved in conflict? How incompetent is that?
