ok so i know there's an appreciation thread running around the forum atm but i thought this was a good idea none-the-less. this thread is about awarding specialising authors in particular fileds: eg. award for the best author at using only the source, or best in a certain field (machines, nature, people (see blue_lurker interviews)), or even life time achievement

hopefully if you think this is a good idea, we could set up a weekly poll with around 5-10 different authors all excelling in that particular field and perhaps there could be an awards section (kind of like the record holder section) on the website where people could view recently won awards etc.

please leave feedback on whether you think it's a good idea and which awards you would like to see, as well as any author you wish to nominate (no nominating yourself, i may seem slow but thats only according to my doctor )

sorry, I had to choose the liccorice one, you shouldn't make the bad choices so funny, or people picke them! Anyways, its a nifty idea. One place I used to go to actually had little gif awards, and if you won one, you could stick it in your space under your posts, as well as display them in your profile. I think maybe we could do awards like these once a month. I dunno thats how it went at the other place
