Ok, this is probablyone thing that was always kind of annoying to me. When I write stuff, and I want to use Bold, Italics, Smileys, etc. I usually write everything first, then I like to go back and put the code in by clicking where I want it then hitting the key. But for some reason on this site, the code always goes to the end of the text body, so I either have to copy and paste it or type it all in. I don't know exactly how this site's coding works, its very custom by now, so I dont know if this can be fixed. I dunno, I just thought its one of those small things that could be made a bit simpler.

What do you all think?

Most message boards work the same way this one does. The codes always jump to the bottom of the page. It's why I've learned to manually type it all in and forget about the top buttons.

yeah, but not all places do this. I know its defaulted to do that, but I am sure it can be changed, b/c other places I go to do it the normal way, putting text wherever the actual text mouse-thing is located. (by the eay, what is that thing called anyways, you know, that little blinking line where you type?)

It's called a cursor.

And I doubt it'd be a small coding change. Messing with something like that would probably be complex.

when I said small, I didn't mean the code, I was talking about the things changing the code would affect. Smileys and text accentuation isn't a huge deal, I was just wondering.

I think I am getting sick of this banner, though. Laughing

Mason try this:
Make a selection of the text you want to make bold (or italic, or convert to url...etc) and then click the appropiate key, the bb-tags will wrap around your selection. This doesn't work for smileysinsertion.

There is an Accurate BBCode Insertion Mod which could make life easier for some of us, dunno if it 's hard to implement?.

thats cuel, I actually thought about wrapping the word, but for some stupid reason I never tried it. Well, thats fine then, thats all I was really asking about, and that works for me! I really can't understand why I didn't figure that out sooner, considering I thought about it... Laughing Doh!
