Why can't it be like the crap they show on TV (i.e. CSI, Star Trek, etc.) where the technician types a couple commands, clicks a couple buttons and {POOF!} instantly better picture? I HATE when they do that in shows. My wife is so sick of me saying "Yeah right!" or "Oh puh-lease!" when I see that happen. Laughing

Laughing Laughing I hear you. To quote my girlfriend: "Will you shut up now! I allready know they can't do that! You've said it a 100 times allready! It's just tv, you're ruining the whole show!! Shut up shut up shut up! And get me something to drink, I'm thirsty."
(some things may be exagerated )

i am assuming that you did not take this photo. Photos should be taken in raw format as you can do deeper editing in raw.

You are correct. I had nothing to do with the photos. I would've definitely not let the moment slide without knowing I had a good photo. I don't even know what camera the person used (or who the 'photographer' actually was).

I'm thinking that, being a County government department, they had a cheap camera. They probably also had it set to the lowest resolution so that they could get more shots onto the memory card (not realizing the ramifications).

I'm not going to worry much more about the photos. I already told the person requesting help that their best, and only, hope was to simply reduce the pictures down before including them in the report.

Thanks to everyone for all the help and advice though. Moral of the story is to be sure they know how to use their camera before letting them take pictures. Laughing

Laughing luckily I don't have anything to do with it other than advice on what can be done to the original pictures.
